Why you should try habit stacking

Want to make more of your time with habit stacking? Here’s how…

The idea behind habit stacking is simple: add a new behaviour to your daily schedule by ‘stacking it’ on top of an existing habit.

You can use habit stacking in so many ways – but here are three of my favourites.

They’re all pretty simple, but they make a big difference when it comes to keeping consistent and healthy when things get busy.

1. When I turn my alarm off, I take five minutes to stretch my arms, legs and feet before getting out of bed.

2. When I’m making my morning cup of tea, I drink 500ml of water with a scoop of powdered collagen.

3. On Sundays, when I’m cooking dinner, I griddle or roast a tray of vegetables with garlic, paprika, coriander powder and cumin. This is great because it means I have a quick and healthy lunch filling to go in my tortilla wraps in the week.
